The World’s Most Coveted Trophy

People who have a competitive fire in them would not ascribe to that adage that goes “It’s not about who wins the game, it’s about how you played it.” Many compete neck-and-neck to bring home that one trophy which will stand as a testament of prowess and domination.

Take away this and any sports event will lose its magic. Competition and the show of proficiencies is what draw crowds to watch game after game after game and to support their team. If a team wins, then everybody who likes that team feels like they’ve brought home the championship trophy, too.

But did you know that the world’s most coveted trophy is actually a cup? It is called the Stanley Cup, which is awarded to the playoffs champion of the National Hockey League. It was named after Lord Stanley Of Preston, Governor General of Canada in 1892 and was established in 1893. Unlike other trophies, the NHL does not make new Stanley Cups each year. Only the first and original Stanley Cup is awarded and passed on from one champion to another, making this year’s playoffs the 117th year since this most priced trophy was first awarded.

What’s unique about the Stanley Cup is that all the names of the players, coaches, and management staff are engraved on its chalice. The bowl on the top is also famous, because it is from the bowl that champions drink their champagne, the same way, as legend has it, the Lord Stanley did.

But of course, people endeavouring in other sports have trophies of their own. The trophies are designed according to the sports. Elegant and prestigious golf trophies, basketball trophies, fishing trophies, and football trophies are made all for the purpose of having a tangible proof and representation of a victorious moment.

You can choose carefully for one to award the champion of your sports competition, and given the quality of material and the special designs on it, you bet it also can be the world’s most coveted trophy.

Plaque

When The Occasion Calls For Veneration, Give A Plaque

A plaque can be used for many occasions requiring an emblem of prestige and achievement. A glass plaque can be posted on a building, room, or hall to provide an impression of veneration to the building, hall, or room; or to the person for whom the edifice is dedicated.

Awarding a plaque is a long-established and widely appreciated way to recognise achievement either by an employee or by a student in school. Plaques can come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with etchings or writings on it that specify the merit received. Plaques can also be made of various materials, including metal cast, clear glass or fusion glass. Either way, plaques are made observing highest quality standards that showcase the peculiar design on it, from the simple to the intricate.

A more modernistic way to make plaques is by using glass material. The glass can be clear as crystal, or a mirror glass, or fusion glass. The latter combines the glass with other materials like paper. The design of the plaque is achieved through a technique called micro sandblasting, where air, heat, and tiny particles like sand are combined to create a beautiful design on the plaque. This is also the same technique used for glass trophies.

Who cannot appreciate a plaque? No one. For its relatively low cost, it is in no way cheap-looking and is ever appropriate even for high-flyer occasions. A plaque of recognition will always be a favourite display of achievement for the young and old alike. For the recipient, it serves to inspire to always be consistently excellent in whatever one is pursuing, and to break one’s own record if no other competitor is able to do so.

A plaque can be ordered and custom-made quick. Companies may already have a vector design with the plaque manufacturer for their logo or insignia, and so whatever customization needed can be rendered faster and without any problem. In no time, your desired plaque can be in your hands.

Corporate Gift

How A Corporate Gift Can Boost Employee Performance In BPO Companies

Business process outsourcing companies abound in Asia and India. By BPO, businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia offshore operations to other countries, usually third world, where labor costs are lower and where manpower competencies and skills are high.

A lot of BPO companies operate with thousands of employees. And because they usually are under highly competitive niche, such as sales, credit collection, and other client services, employees not only are paid a premium, but also enjoy receiving a corporate gift as part of the perks.

Because of many work opportunities offered by competing BPO companies, attrition is one of the major problems. Keeping employees motivated, and loyal to the company despite of external opportunities, is key. Because BPO work involves highly technical and client-specific training, the company suffers a loss when employees leave shortly after they have been trained.

One proven way to combat attrition is to reward employees with a corporate gift each time he or she meets the performance metric specified on his or her score card. The corporate gift may come as a cup or mug, a pen, a name card holder, or even big and fabulous ones such as a round time piece and compass, or an elite high flyer crystal base trophy. Whatever the gift, every employee appreciates to be recognised for his or her valuable contribution to the team.

BPO companies are strict with attendance as well. One of the major challenges of working in a BPO company is having to come to work in the US or UK time zones, when you are in the Philippines or India. This could mean coming to work at night. This means coming to work during the local holidays which are regular work days in the client country. That’s why; giving the employees a corporate gift for attendance is also a normal practice. And like other perks, this is one which employees truly appreciate.
